Our working rule

Show the receipt.

Siftlet makes small browser tools and publishes the facts a user should not have to guess.

Processing receipt

Each tool says whether inputs stay in the browser. The current file tools decode and transform files in the active tab. We do not operate an upload API.

Source receipt

We review repository availability, archive status, and the root license before adapting code. A public repository without a license is not treated as reusable code. Attribution and adaptation notes live on the licenses page.

Test receipt

Calculation and image-region rules have deterministic unit tests. Browser checks cover the main tool path, keyboard access, and small screens. A receipt describes checked behavior; it is not a warranty.

Catalog limits

The research catalog contains direct product-to-repository links plus manually confirmed author-heading links. We rejected three heading carryovers that pointed at a different product or an author profile. We checked public availability and license signals without running third-party code. Inclusion is not a security endorsement.

Corrections

Repository owners can ask for a correction, attribution update, or removal through the channel on the contact page.
