dBFS is digital level relative to clipping. It is not room loudness in dB SPL and cannot compare two different microphones without calibration.

How to read a microphone test
A moving waveform proves that the browser is receiving a signal. Normal speech often moves across a wide range, so watch the peak and listen to the saved sample. Repeated readings near 0 dBFS mean the digital signal is clipping; move back or reduce input gain.
A very low room-noise number is quieter. Browser noise suppression and automatic gain can change that reading while you speak, which is why this page shows the settings the track actually received. Raw mode requests less processing, but hardware and browsers may ignore unsupported constraints.
Why a mic can work here but fail in a call
The meeting app may have a different microphone selected, the operating system may block that app, or another program may hold the device. Match the device name, close other recording apps, and run the call service's own check too.
