Touch Screen & Multi-Touch Test

Sweep every part of a phone, tablet, or touch laptop screen, verify all four edges and simultaneous contacts, then export a coverage map and report.

Touch coordinates, pressure, timing, coverage maps, and exported reports stay on this device. No screenshot, fingerprint, or result is uploaded.0 uploads · local

Use every millimeter.

Drag one or more fingers across the navy test surface. Covered cells turn teal, missed edge cells stay visible, and every export is made locally.

Trace all the way into every corner.

Browser toolbars and rounded screen corners can make the outermost browser pixels unreachable. Full screen gives the cleanest edge check supported by the device.

Browser reports 0 touch points.

Some phones report pressure as a fixed value. The browser's maximum touch-point number is a capability hint, while the “most seen” result proves what this page received together.

This is the rate visible to the web page, not a certified panel sampling rate. Browsers may merge movement into coalesced Pointer Events.

Watch for surprise touches

  1. WaitingNo touch events yet

A ghost touch appears here only if the browser receives it. Leave the screen untouched for 30 seconds; any new contact row during that time deserves a second test after cleaning and unplugging the charger.

Field note

Check touch coverage, edges, multi-touch, and ghost contacts

Open this page on the phone, tablet, or touch laptop you want to test. Drag slowly across the navy surface in overlapping lines until the coverage map is mostly teal. A cell changes only after this page receives a pointer coordinate inside it.

Touch-screen dead-zone and edge test

Trace the top, right, bottom, and left edges, then make an X through the center. A cluster of untouched cells that remains after several passes can indicate a dead zone, but screen protectors, a wet display, browser chrome, palm rejection, and rounded corners can also block input.

Multi-touch and ghost-touch test

Hold several fingers down at once and compare “most seen” with the browser's reported touch-point capacity. To check for ghost input, clear the map, place the device on a stable surface, and leave it untouched for 30 seconds. New contact rows without a real touch are suspicious; repeat the test after cleaning the display and disconnecting the charger.

Export the result to a phone

Save / share map creates a PNG coverage image. Save / share report creates a text file with coverage percentages, edge scores, maximum simultaneous touches, pressure, event timing, cancellations, and screen details. On supported phones the system share sheet opens directly; otherwise the file downloads.

The tool uses standard Pointer Events, their documented coalesced-event access, and the browser maximum touch-point hint. No screenshot or touch data is sent to Siftlet.
