Split once, then post in the numbered order
The maker center-crops one source image to the combined grid shape, then exports every tile at 1080 pixels wide. It never stretches the source.
Choose portrait 3:4 for a taller profile preview, 4:5 for a common portrait post, or square for a classic puzzle feed. Instagram may change thumbnail crops again, so all three live on one page.
Post the files in ascending filename order. The first upload is the lower-right piece; the final upload lands at the upper-left and completes the image.
